Activities put on by the Visitor Centre aim primarily at raising
knowledge of the hills and encouraging reflection on the importance of
the Park; a knowledge of oneself and of relations with others and with
the environment. These objectives are based on the needs of primary
school children who can not only find out more about various aspects of
the hills, rich in history, art and natural beauty, but also have a
firsthand experience of direct contact with the natural environment of
the protected area.
Depending
on the age of the children and the themes chosen, the activities
involve different approaches that aim to arouse affection, protection
and increased attention toward the surrounding environment in the
children, going from a “sense of detachedness”, towards the discovery
and observation of “taking care of oneself”. This can be a first step
in the direction of reflecting on one’s relationship with “diversity”.

The Ecosystem
- In the world of the trees… discover the tracks! (Flora, fauna and signs of their presence in the wood)
- What’s hidden deep down there? (Macroinvertebrates and their environment, decomposers and the soil)
- In the beginning there was the sea… (Geology and palaeontology)
- From the ice and from the sun (Microclimates and meteorology)
The area and its history
- Memories of the hills: stories of the woods and hamlets (culture, history, local traditions and folklore of the woods)

From roads to paths: an adventure in evolving landscapes! (moving
around and travelling between town and hills, understanding the
landscape, geography, orienteering and map reading)
The land and interculture

Nothing grows from diamonds… A journey from cocoa to hazelnuts (Natural

PARTECIPARE
I
percorsi didattici con il Centro Visite vengono costruiti con gli
insegnanti, a seconda delle specificità ed esigenze dell’età
dei ragazzi, scegliendo una
o più tematiche
tra quelle presentate.
È
possibile combinare uno o più incontri
in classe,
escursioni
di mezza giornata,
escursioni
dell’intera giornata.
L’elemento distintivo dei nostri percorsi didattici è
comunque l’esperienza sul campo, perciò è
consigliabile effettuare almeno un’escursione. Le aree interessate
dalle attività sono:

Parco Naturale della Collina di Superga,
-
la
Riserva Naturale Speciale del Bosco
del Vaj, dove
sono anche disponibili le relative strutture per la didattica:

Centro
Visite,
situato a Superga nella stazione della tranvia a dentiera, a 200 m
dalla Basilica;
-
la
sede del Parco
della Collina Torinese a Castagneto Po, nei pressi del Bosco del
Vaj.
I
programmi vengono rivolti al gruppo-classe
(massimo 25
ragazzi);
è comunque possibile lavorare con due classi abbinate che si
alternano nelle attività. Alle attività possono
partecipare ragazzi con difficoltà motorie lievi, con il
supporto di un docente, e portatori di handicap psichici, se
accompagnati dall’insegnante di sostegno.
La
tempistica delle attività viene concordata
con la segreteria,
secondo le disponibilità di posti del Centro Visite, cercando
comunque di rispettare la continuità didattica. Si consiglia
di contattare il Centro con un certo anticipo, per avere maggiori
possibilità di fissare gli incontri secondo le proprie
necessità.

raggiungere il Centro Visite, è possibile utilizzare il
servizio di trasporto GTT, salendo a Superga con la storica tranvia a
dentiera. Il GTT prevede agevolazioni per le scolaresche; per
